  • This museum is small, but it is so rich in objects to see and touch it 2 hours pass in a Flash. Objects are reconstructions of Leonardo's machines, which can be observed and often try. The audio guides are free (it leaves only a deposit which is returned at the end of visit) comprehensive and interesting to an adult, a teenager a little less appealing. On some specially crafted tables you can try to build the bridge by Leonardo or other items. This is a museum where people are allowed to touch and not just watch!

  • My wife and I found the flyer at our hotel near Florence. Having been able to touch his inventions are reproduced in a very faithful was very exciting. I personally would have treated a bit more the video portion. The only drawback is the size of the Museum, which I thought was much larger. Anyway I recommend it.

  • Even though there are not original machines the concept of this museum is based on the experience of Leonardo’s original thinking, I got along with a german family and the father was explaining the co...  more »

  • This is better than the exhibit in Milan of Leonardo's famous accomplishments, in which it is larger and has more space to walk around and see each design and works of art. I took photos, in which I didn't see any signs (in English) stating not to take pictures. But another tourist said photographs were not allowed; I didn't pay any attention to him and kept on taking pictures of all the other designs I was interested in since none of the staff (residing in most rooms) did not say anything about photography.
  • Brilliant interactive exhibits, very few 'do not touch' signs, almost everything can be used and there's even a table for making your own bridges in Leonardo's style. Fun for all the family
  • The tiny museum devoted to the work of da Vinci is tiny. There's not one original thing, only the remakes from the Leonardo drawings. The ticket price is too high
  • Unfortunately I didn't think much of this place. It contains a fairly small number of wooden reproductions of devices sketched by Da Vinci. No real information about them is provided and all are uncritically labelled "inventions" with no discussion as to which were actually built, which were even practical, or why Da Vinci was producing so many of these engineering drawings in the first place. I learned virtually nothing: waste of time and money. I suggest going to the Galileo Museum instead. The Galileo is about the same price but is 10 times bigger, contains interesting things and actually teaches you about them. Despite my bad impression, I can imagine this place would be very useful for keeping kids occupied for an hour.
  • He's my favourite artist 🎨. I love him, so there was one magical, wonderful and inspiration place! This is one of the most favourite museum for me.
