Where to stay in Florence

Variety is not a problem when deciding where to stay in Florence. The compact town center is packed with hotels, hostels, and small inns. The drawback of this upmarket central area is that even family-run B&Bs often cost as much as luxury hotels. For more affordable lodgings, explore the area outside the tourist-driven city center. Staying in one of the city's residential neighborhoods allows you to immerse yourself in the daily life of local Florentines. B&Bs and hotels outside the center offer private parking and spacious rooms, all within walking distance of the main tourist sites.

  • The classic department store in Firenze. Culinary and foodie floor 5 and a nice terrace with coffee on the roof (with amazing views)
  • Very friendly, except Cafe. View is great but service is not as much.
  • I only go to the food area on the top floor, it's not the biggest but there's a selection of good quality products that make nice gifts...
  • Large department with many floors to shop, location is so good and surrounded by wonderful atmosphere
  • Not so big as the one in Milan but we'll furnished. Beautiful terrace with an amazing view of the dome.
