  • Florence is full of beautiful gardens, but this has some sentimental value for me. and everytime is a blast from the past ... beautiful ... refined and a little shabby. a Pearl that adorns this area of Florence ... the summer evening is very relaxing. with the bar and live music. easily accessible by any means. to see and love!

  • The garden is beautiful, relaxing ... and the tepidarium makes it unique. Ideal for finding some cool in summer, to lie down on the grass and rest, even for a nice picnic. Summer organized dj set and live with a bar that provides sandwiches and appetizers.

  • I love this park - in the sunshine it has some gorgeous views and is a perfect spot for a picnic. The greenhouse is beautiful and the kids play area is nice. Also, there large enclosed dog-area in the top part on the hill.
  • Beautiful garden. Had a beer/food tent set up at night with a bunch of local vendors selling various crafts/souvenirs. Really cool vibe. Doesn't feel touristy, as its a bit off the beaten path. Highly recommend, either during the day or at night!
  • Great garden in Florence!
  • A very nice place to come to play with your friends or to read books... Also sometimes here're events like art expositions or local markets.
  • The best period to visit Giardino Dell'Orticoltura is during the flower exibition in April.

Where to stay in Florence

Variety is not a problem when deciding where to stay in Florence. The compact town center is packed with hotels, hostels, and small inns. The drawback of this upmarket central area is that even family-run B&Bs often cost as much as luxury hotels. For more affordable lodgings, explore the area outside the tourist-driven city center. Staying in one of the city's residential neighborhoods allows you to immerse yourself in the daily life of local Florentines. B&Bs and hotels outside the center offer private parking and spacious rooms, all within walking distance of the main tourist sites.
