  • Combined with a girlfriend in one trip visiting public rose garden in Rome and iris garden in Florence. It was magical. An interesting collection of irises. Startled, the aroma of which instances resembled chocolate. Disappointed only that the wall, which protects the grounds and at the same time is the staircase, the citizens of all nationalities to throw different papers and bottles, and they just served on the territory of the garden.

  • The grounds are stunning in any season. And this is no exception: a sea of silver olive trees that slope down towards the River some rose Bush in bloom, the huge red-dotted strawberry. Passionate and competent or volunteers who accompanied us on the visit.

  • It is the Garden located to the right of the square of Miguel Angel (there is a small sign indicating it), down the stairs. We could not enter because the garden is open only in the spring, when the lilies are in bloom.

  • We arrived here with perfect timing. These gardens are not open for much of the year. We visited the garden in the second week of May 2013 and it was a perfectly sunny day with many different Iris flowers to view.
  • Hundreds of varieties of Iris - beautiful colour combinations. Please donate when you visit as it is run by volunteers and it would benefit from funding
  • In the splendid setting of piazzale Michelangelo there are two jewels, which starting from piazza degrade slowly towards the River: the rose garden to the West, and that of the iris to the East. April is the perfect time to take in all their beauty. The city, with its monuments, the duomo, palazzo vecchio, santa croce, seem there at hand, fantastic frame of a magical place. Il giardino degli iris, then, open to the public for one month a year, surprising for the variety and the beauty of the flowers, the result of a laborious job of crosses and grafts that have produced individual pieces in the world. Different shapes, colors, velvety soft, velvety and silky petals varied. The heart rests and exalt together before a show ephemeral, but that smacks of eternity.

  • Next to piazzale Michelangelo, a beautiful garden filled with Iris and some pink. Worth visiting. Only open between April and may
