#2 of 24 in Parks in Florence
Discover panoramic views over Florence at Giardino Bardini, a little-known Renaissance garden only recently opened to the public. In this hillside oasis, you'll find myriad statuary, wild birds, and a coffeehouse with strong Italian coffee and views of the red-roofed city and hills beyond. Sit beside one of the tree-shaded fountains, then stroll through the wisteria-canopied walkways. There's also a museum next door where you can catch interesting exhibits and concerts. • A beautiful garden next to the Boboli Gardens (included in one ticket). Besides some beauties of vegetation, offers two fantastic glimpses of which a beautiful view of the Santa Croce, Florence and Casentino in the distance. Don't miss the entrance a gorgeous where the Tower of the Palazzo della Signoria hides the Giotto's Bell Tower (a real Eclipse of Tower)!

  • I recommend everyone visiting this beautiful garden, maybe after seeing the Museum often hosts interesting exhibitions of other artists in addition to masterpieces by Annigoni. The view is one of the best and this place is always very few people ... Recommended.

  • A corner of Florence where you edited the garden giving a cyclicity of blooms. The best flower, always shining, is before us: the incredible view of the city. To whom it may choose the season I would recommend the spring when a lilac berceaux shines with all shades of color.

  • Very beautiful and full of spirit. So green with nice view over the city. A bit expensive entrance fee, especially that many places were closed for visitors.
  • Beautiful formal gardens with roses and stunning panoramic views from the terrace in the Villa Bardini which has some fascinating collections of art and fashion.
  • Lovely garden. If you are planning to visit it, make sure you put aside a couple of hours for the visit; it is a large, once private, garden which is very well maintained by the museum. A nice attraction to visit if you're in Firenze!
  • Often overlooked by the busy travelers in Florence, this garden is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is quiet and relaxing. Be sure to bring water with you.
  • Important: Cash Only and Very unhelpful staff. You can use credit card to buy ticket to Bardini and Belvedere garden at the Forte di Belvedere. The entrance staff rejected my credit card and ignored me to talk to other people. Didn’t even give suggestion. Took a while to find out you can pay at Belvedere. Otherwise it’s a good place to visit in Florence.

Where to stay in Florence

Variety is not a problem when deciding where to stay in Florence. The compact town center is packed with hotels, hostels, and small inns. The drawback of this upmarket central area is that even family-run B&Bs often cost as much as luxury hotels. For more affordable lodgings, explore the area outside the tourist-driven city center. Staying in one of the city's residential neighborhoods allows you to immerse yourself in the daily life of local Florentines. B&Bs and hotels outside the center offer private parking and spacious rooms, all within walking distance of the main tourist sites.
