  • Gelateria have nice gelato and their prices are similar to those of many others. Sure they pile up the cones, but you want to finish the gelato quickly before it melts away onto your hand and on to th...  more »
  • The Italy has a reputation for its wines, Paninis, pastas and Gelatos. Not all Gelatos are so wonderful as well. I had the opportunity to try several and the prices vary greatly. In Florence I suggest try the flavors of the Gelateria Santa Trinita across the ponte Santa Trinita. Excellent quality and fair price.

  • The fact that Italy is famous for its ice cream, it seems everyone knows. But why is it such a yummy here, guess not many. This ice cream "artidzhinale" that is made where it and sell, rather than industrial way. It less fat, more milk and natural ingredients. With melon taste good!

  • The most elegant ice cream shop ever. The flavors are very strong and distinctive. Very tasty. If you want to try more flavors, they have a small portion
  • If you are looking for an average Gelato you have found it. The staff are really nice. They have interesting flavour but it's too sweet.
  • One of the best ice cream in Florence (maybe in Tuscany too). Try Goloso and Pistacchio!
  • Fantastic ice-cream with so many great flavours, makes you want to try them all! The Parisiense and the mint options were my favourite. Friendly service and nice prices, a definite go to gelateria in Florence.
  • Great Gelato!!! You must try Crema Di Medici and Ricotta with Pears!!!

Where to stay in Florence

Variety is not a problem when deciding where to stay in Florence. The compact town center is packed with hotels, hostels, and small inns. The drawback of this upmarket central area is that even family-run B&Bs often cost as much as luxury hotels. For more affordable lodgings, explore the area outside the tourist-driven city center. Staying in one of the city's residential neighborhoods allows you to immerse yourself in the daily life of local Florentines. B&Bs and hotels outside the center offer private parking and spacious rooms, all within walking distance of the main tourist sites.
