  • Went to the cemetery specifically to visit the grave of Oriana Fallaci: the cemetery is located in a very beautiful area of Florence and it is decently maintained. I had to seek help to locate the gra...  more »
  • This small cemetery was opened to bury people Protestants but not only when that said "the British" no longer accepted burials shortly after the mid nineteenth century. It is famous because it was buried Oriana Fallaci but also famous collectors like Stibbert and Horne.

  • There is only Fallacious. At the bottom, on the right, are together again, like in a relationship of continuous sacrifice in life and death, two of the most critical and criticized the environment fiorentino degli anni ' 50: Lucia Lopresti, namely Anna Banti-how called himself--is still with her partner and accomplice and anchor Roberto Longhi. An artistic and literary that continues after years together, in a grave, symbolically stripped of those alive so given and never bent to make compromises. The bud on these two fighters are worth much more than vain stems out of graves already adorned by fame.

  • Evangelical cemetery on the outskirts of Florence where they rest even people of other religions. A visit that enriches the soul.

Where to stay in Florence

Variety is not a problem when deciding where to stay in Florence. The compact town center is packed with hotels, hostels, and small inns. The drawback of this upmarket central area is that even family-run B&Bs often cost as much as luxury hotels. For more affordable lodgings, explore the area outside the tourist-driven city center. Staying in one of the city's residential neighborhoods allows you to immerse yourself in the daily life of local Florentines. B&Bs and hotels outside the center offer private parking and spacious rooms, all within walking distance of the main tourist sites.
