  • Me and my boyfriend visited this place in june 2018. That is already the high season so we had to queue the tickets for a bit but maybe you could get the tickets online faster. We really enjoyed this ...  more »

  • A small gallery but containing one of the most famous sculpture of the world. In plus, the room with the plasters is also impressive. The paintings are mostly church related, for whom likes it. Book before your visit. I visited in June..the crowd is impressive and one can wait at the entrance for hours.
  • #culture Was very interesting, didn't do a tour but easy enough to navigate on your own. The off season was nice because it was not super crowded. It was cool to see local art students walking around sketching some of the sculptures. I would recommend this place if you're crunched for time in Florence.
  • Academia Gallery was the first place visited during my trip to Florence. Definitely the David statue was the reason but the museum in general is really beautiful and full of history. I made a reservation in advance for tickets and when I arrived at the museum there was a smaller queue for getting the tickets when you have a reservation, but you will pay a 4 euro extra charge per person. The queue was pretty big for entrance and we were scared, but it's actually going pretty fast. Enjoy the museum!
  • David. There are many other interesting exhibitions always on display at the Florence art gallery. But the David by michallangelo is the main attraction. I would suggest purchasing tickets online or at a ticket office before you go and then just arrive at your scheduled time for an easy experience.
  • Florence is a land of Renaissance Paintings, Arts and Sculptures by the great Michelangelo and others. David is one of the exclusive creation that became famous all over the world. It is better to plan in the morning to avoid the crowed and to enjoy them with heart fully.
