  • a necropolis among the finest in the world, an archaeological site immaculately maintained (rare in Italy), keeper very friendly .... everything absolutely not advertised or mentioned on the territory (now Italian) and with free admission (when other sites have far lower prices: Mystery of cultural heritage!!). highly recommended for adults and children.

  • Although little noticed and not easy to identify is a spectacular site where you can admire virtually untouched tombs of the Roman period. fascinating description of site by the custodian Pasquale, very nice, very helpful and clearly passionate about his work and ancient history.

  • Roman necropolis still wonderfully intact presenting a tour off the standard circuits in the habits of ancient Rome and more specifically of the inhabitants of Ostia. Chance to see artifacts of graves still in their original location. Original and written Latin inlays that take us back to the thoughts of the ancients. Original mosaics still in the midst of their glory. A short trip to three centuries of tombs in the via sacra just outside the city leading to the port. This allowed workers to employees to all those who worked at the port to greet each morning loved ones and don't forget. Visit only upon reservation we recommend also a guide. Packed with fish or meat in the restaurant near Graziella fair prices.

  • One of the most underestimated of the eternal city. An incredible array of Roman graves virtually intact. Not to be missed. Focus days when it is open, call the caretaker.

  • A small site but absolutely worth visiting. The tombs tell the daily lives of those who have made (doctors, painters, blacksmiths, seamen) and show us a world different and interesting. The staff in custody is very kind and accompanies the tourist with a brief introduction to the site and work to admire. To check on the website of the Sovraintendenza hours of operation.
