  • With friends I spent an afternoon at the Park of Monte Ceceri at Fiesole. It is a pleasant and interesting that reveals, in addition to the charming landscape, the ancient stone quarries with explanatory signs on excavation methods and use of stone collection. Well worth a visit.

  • The Park can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from Piazza Mino. There are a few short hiking trails. The ways are partly in a pretty poor state, so that it should tighten reasonably sturdy footwear. The Hill affords beautiful views for Florence & vicinity. Also, you can visit the place of the Leonardo da Vinci has supposedly made his attempts at flight. There are also some old quarries.
