  • Unfortunately after the earthquake of 2012 are very few Parties visited the Charterhouse. A real shame. The Church closed and even some parts of the cemetery.

  • It can be easily reached from the Centre of Ferrara, is a beautiful cemetery with parts currently under renovation.

  • Situated on the edge of the Renaissance Centre of Ferrara, not the medieval central square, so to speak, but near the Addizione Erculea, is a place to visit even if only for a solitary walk. At various times of the year, depending on the season, will offer you glimpses (and if you love photos). Created at the end of ' 400 as a Carthusian monastery at the behest of Duke Borso d'Este who did bury. He became a Napoleonic barracks and in the 19th century it was bought by the municipality, who made the most important cemetery. The green space outside may remember Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. Although some areas are unusable after the earthquake of 2012, it is worth to see it. If you are passionate about art in general know that the graves of painters Pascoe, De Pisis Mentessi are here, as well as 20th-century poet Corrado Govoni sepulture finds there. Giovanni Boldini finally has two funerary monuments dedicated to him. But there are also graves of anonymous characters notable, that, if you have patience and turn right, will capture your attention.

  • Tranquillissimo
  • Very spacious, lots of green and really nice architecture. Shame about the many areas closed for restoration after the earthquake in 2012.
