  • Enter Certosa in Ferrara is like stepping into an open air museum. From the ancient noble tombs in the Church of San Cristoforo al Memorial Chapel is a set of unique beauties. As soon as they are finished renovating the Church will be even more beautiful. Go there and you will be immersed in the silence. The only sore point is that the municipality has taken some rooms to make the offices of Mortuary and cemetery services. But you can rest easy.

  • Before reaching the walls along the Avenue "Ercole I d'Este is highly recommended the detour to the monumental Charterhouse with the beautiful church of Saint Christopher and the cloister Curvilinear. Unfortunately, now part of the Charterhouse is closed for earthquake damage of 2012, but restoration work has already begun. A walk, at least in the cloister curvilinear, to admire the marble gravestones of exquisite workmanship in a silence often unreal.

  • Today is essentially a graveyard, but the visit is not to be missed, another of the many trips back in time that allows Ferrara.

  • Tranquillissimo
  • Very spacious, lots of green and really nice architecture. Shame about the many areas closed for restoration after the earthquake in 2012.
