Architectural Building
Admire medieval wood-panel paintings, classical words by Garofalo, enormous frescos, and more at Palazzo dei Diamanti, which houses the National Art Gallery of Ferrara. One of the world's most noteworthy Renaissance-era palaces, thousands of pink-veined marble diamonds adorn its reflective facade. Look for paintings from the medieval period through the 18th century, as well as rotating contemporary art exhibits. Don't miss the building's ornate candelabras and the Renaissance courtyard with its cloister and Ferraran marble well. • The splendid Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara is at the center of the Addizione Erculea, at an important crossroads called Quadrivio degli Angeli "and was the residence of Sigismondo d'Este, brother of Duke Ercole I. Palazzo dei Diamanti more than 8000 CLEWS, shaped like a pyramid or" diamond ", in white and pink marble, cover the two sides and gave it the name. The architect Biagio Rossetti made a masterpiece, especially by placing the main decoration on the corner: a device intended to underline the importance of the crossing and to make the building an entirely original work, created for the perspective view instead of the façade. The angle, in fact, is embellished with beautiful candelabra sculpted by Gabriele Frisoni and a lovely balcony, shortly, which accentuates the sight lines toward the nearby Piazza Ariostea. The internal structure has three wings, with a U-shaped plan originally symmetrical, but altered by following reconstruction. The Palace is now home to museums:-the main floor houses the national art gallery and exhibition space on the ground floor, where you keep the famous diamond Palace exhibitions organised by Ferrara Arte.

  • Ferrara is a delightful city, with a splendid cathedral, the Palace and the castle of the Estes that worth a visit. After these visits, may be more advisable to drink on a terrace before going to this Palace, with a rather interesting facade, a quite normal courtyard and removed from the Center. It adds nothing
