  • Mr. Costabili was (we are in the middle of the sixteenth century) the Ambassador of the Duke of Milan at the Duke of Ferrara: and see that at that time the Parisians, to catch up on fashion, came to Ferrara. Was in progress that imposing architectural planning known as Addizione Erculea, which expanded more than twice the size of Ferrara at the instigation of Duke Ercole; author and designer the Ducal architect Biagio Rossetti. Mr. Costabili needed a building "up to par" of his rank, and had huge funds: then entrusted the construction of the Duke, architect Biagio Rossetti. The result was this Palace of proportions and wonderful finishes ... Unfortunately remained unfinished. But it's worth a short walk outside-and I do mean short: one kilometer, 20 minutes at a leisurely pace--to visit this celebratissima wonder I known how much deserves. The Palace alone are already walking in itself, but adding the National Archaeological Museum which houses, becomes a visit frankly thrilling. Who likes architecture and archaeology, of course: if not, the Centre of Ferrara is full of great shops and comfortable coffee.

  • Beautiful frescoes and an interesting collection of ancient art.
  • So much to see! The Palace itself is nice, but inside there are showcased many antiques of classical origin, amphorae, jewelry, even two dugouts carved into tree trunks! All illustrated by panels with explanations. Top class

  • Interesting findings, particularly pleasant building eclecticism, charming garden and friendly staff ... What more can you ask for?? One tip, don't stop in front of the camera, hidden treasures!

  • Is a jewel both as a container and as content. There are six finds sublime pieces both in jewellery and in glass paste which although thumbnails are a glimpse of the wealth of unique qualities. They have a variety of colors that look like Missoni sweaters.

  • Nice though is a bit out of the Centre, its definitely the beautiful walk of about 20 minutes in the midst of the beautiful Ferrara.
