  • the monastery and the Church is a place of great peace and meditation. the Park and the monumental cemetery near evoke echoes of serenity and the entire complex is architecturally of interest

  • The entrance is achieved-with a short detour-to the bottom of Corso Ercole I, just before the Door of the angels. Is-and is part of the monumental complex-within the Certosa. Access to the Church of San Cristoforo is appreciated for the silence and spaciousness of the Chartreuse green. Inside, the various works that have not been moved for renovations were made safe (packed in wooden cases) and you can see, leaving the visitor with the disappointment of a church a little bare. Despite the renovations after the earthquake and restoration of damaged works in progress you can still admire the precious wooden choir of the 15th century which frames to the wall of the apse; exhibition panels trace the stages of restoration. Ferrara Renaissance heritage site recognized by Unesco. To see (with a simple walk along corso Ercole), albeit partially, enquiring in relation to working hours and closures for construction.

  • Outside the old town and the historic center of the ancient Ferrara is an impressive church in the Romanesque style of the early Renaissance basilicas is the Church of St. Christopher with the farmstead. The Carmelite monastery on this place was built as early as in the 15th century and was at that time outside the city limits. With the advent of the Central Temple and later entering coaching inns in the new monastery fortifications surrounding territories were brought to the City Cemetery.
