  • Smell of peace, green trees, occasionally I go to greet the sisters that I have seen in College and school ... to someone I knew and it's past, the present church was begun in 1498, after 1551, was restored after the earthquake of 1570 (building attributable to Rossetti). -The Charterhouse was built in 1152 on the behest of Marquis Borso d'Este, in the area between Santa Maria degli Angeli and Belfiore.-

  • Very tranquil, stunning Reinassance architecture, the locals call this 'countryside inside the city' and you can understand why, such a beautiful setting  more »
  • You find it on the right along the long road leading from the castle walls. It's well worth a quick detour to give at least a look at this monumental complex, originally (1452) Carthusian monastery and from 1813 cemetery. Inside the Memorial of Borso d'Este. Beside, separated, is the Jewish cemetery.

  • Really nice cemetery which retains a special charm to the quiet, the care of the gardens and some graves of great artistic value. Worth visiting.

  • Happened by chance, strolling along Corso Ercole I D'este, played left and here's the Charterhouse that besides being a place of recollection is historical place with funerary monuments to illustrious fares. I haven't visited the Church of St. Christopher.

  • Late sunny January morning, very cold and nothing people. You can barely get an impression of what could be, closed and fenced from hurdles and ribbons that delimit the spaces accessible. By returning the restorations.

  • Certosa of Ferrara, used as a monumental cemetery, cloisters porches. To see the beautiful church of San Cristoforo unfortunately currently under restoration for earthquake damage.
