  • When you get to this place after a steep downhill road, you know that when you blend the human ingenuity, determination and faith we make extraordinary things! Large crowds of pilgrims with commercial corollary that jars a bit with the sacredness of the place. Place that is accessible to the handicapped (buses and elevators).

  • driven by their curiosity we fowarded to discover this shrine, arrived in spiazzi and parked the car popped down the road on foot (you can also take the bus that leaves every half hour) and arrived at the building one is impressed by how it was built this, I dread to think how much effort has been made to bring all the material to embed this gem in the rock. Within the left wall is the mountain rock as well as the wall behind the main altar. The ascent to the long flight of steps was a bit tough but it's worth every penny.

  • The jaw-dropping view, the astonishing interior (with rock walls) and the windy road down from Spiazzi through the forest make this a place that is worth visiting, sadly sidelined by the adjacent lake to the East. In any case, it affirms Italy's unique variety in churches.
  • Truly a beautiful place to visit. A great place of prayer and worship..
  • An amazing place to visit!!!!
  • Definitely a sight to see if you have a few spare hours on your way to Trento. About a 20 minute detour off the main highway and something like 800 steps down later, I was treated to the awesome sight of a church essentially built into the side of the cliff. The interior is also quite amazing, the cliff wall accounts for the entire left handed side of the church walls as well as the backdrop to the altar. There is a small restaurant nearby that isn't too bad to stop and have a drink at before you begin the several hundred foot climb back up to the parking lot if you opted to park in town and hike down. We opted to eat in Trento, so we didn't get anything in town besides water since I was sweating like a stuck pig after climbing back up.
