  • Resting on its rocky promontory, this citadel impresses by its massive walls. She seems to meet the forts designed by Vauban and remind the troubled past of the region. She watches as a sentry on a very beautiful village.

  • Fortress that acts as a barrier in the Susa Valley, includes the nearby village of Exilles beautiful village worth a visit, maybe a little left to itself with museums don't always open to visitors as the Museum of the Alpine troops, I'm not fond of.

  • Is not impressive as that of Fenestrelle, long visit lasts "only" an hour and a half (or two and a half hours? why doubt grips me?). Though quite intense, with a pleasant interlude tied to history or legend, the man in the iron mask.

  • This historical castle/fort is well worth the visit. We got in for free and got to see most of the highlights. However there are options to see even more with a paid guided tour.
  • Its a perfectly nice place to visit however when we went every single thing was shut and apart from the actual fort itself there isn't much to look at
  • Just do yourself a favour, and visit this place!
  • Spectacular. Legend has it that there was locked the man in the iron mask. Currently inside is the museo degli Alpini. Too bad it's always closed due to lack of funds. However a visit do it. It's worth it and the view from the drawbridge is spectacular

  • You enter for free and you do not have access to all parts of the Fort. In order to do that you have to pay and be accompanied by a guide. If you are in the area of the Susa Valley. Definately worth a bit of your time. You can climb on foot or via two lifts. A piece of the climb in the lift is glazed and you will enjoy a beautiful view though for Vertigo sufferers like me ... It's a bit scary. some day there are organized tours and events for families and children. Historical reenactments etc. In any normal day as it happened to me you can spin freely inside. There are internal rooms with photographic exhibitions and scale reproductions that show the various strong changes over time. I will definitely be back to make an overnight visit or tour!
