  • There's lots in La in the morning and evening fog Hill you have to be careful. However, it did not expect a very beautiful city, the Duomo and the walls IM

  • The Cathedral is inconspicuous, but definitely worth it to see her beautiful interior. Note, it is hard to Park (is reported to us parking in front of the Cathedral) and you need to check the opening hours. We were on a Sunday, so it even to mass. The lack of a driveway, so the child's stroller to not enter (stairs, but can bring).

  • In a very compact beautiful city so many attractions that two evenings spent in Ann only lasted for inspection of very small part of the attractions. Fortunately, the Cathedral was among them and struck a perfect external proportions and interior decoration.

  • This is a great find well worth a couple hours travel. We were passing by while travelling to the Temple Valley from Catania and did that 1 hour stop in Enna to take a look at this historical place. It is absolutely magnificent and very well decorated. You can feel both the historical character and the the cultural spirit of the place. Just take a look at the photos... and multiply the feel by 10!
  • If you pass by Enna and see the Cathedral, do not be put off by its simple outside facade. Inside it is stunning. If the main entrance door is closed, there is a little one on the side.
  • Very beautiful
  • The Cathedral is one of the greatest examples of medieval church architecture in Sicily: built in the fourteenth century and revamped around two centuries later, features commanding Corinthian colonnades, three naves and three apses, precious paintings and chandeliers, and a Grand façade with a Bell Tower, which soars over the city, whose Bell is boggling in proportion to size of the city. The Interior has a Latin cross with three naves divided by columns of Alabaster white with ornate bases and capitals. The second right and the second on the left, in particular, are masterpieces of Gian Domenico Gagini. Deserve particular attention, in addition, the three chapels which open into the transept: the left one, dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament, reappears after the restoration, in the original 14th century conception; the chapel on the right is dedicated to the patron saint of Enna, our Lady of the visitation, whose statue, guarded precisely in the Chapel, is carried in procession every year on 2 July; the Central Chapel (16th century), is dedicated to the Virgin, and is richly decorated in its entirety with stucco, statues and paintings depicting various moments in the life of the Virgin Mary. The ceiling of the Church, finally, consisting of three distinct types of carved chests, is a true work of art made of Walnut wood: fine, specifically, what hangs over the nave and transept, the sculptor Guido Scipione, who worked on it, with his assistants, for five years. He also the choir of the nave and the choir of the main altar

  • Freely accessible but experience a bit surreal because the nave is totally empty and there was no none, so if you want additional information you have to rely on printed guides or smartphone.
