  • If a place you want to steal the soul to Empoli should visit the MU. VE. The glass has represented for this city the central element of social and economic development. Even a quick visit helps you understand how this "inert" take on shapes and colors with high artistic value connotations. Calloused hands and burned have learned to dominate this material and forged items of unparalleled beauty!

  • Imbued with meanings and industrial and commercial history of Empoli. I personally don't know of this ancient vocation of the glass of the Tuscan town. The Museum in a pleasant space both outside, an old brick building once meant to store salt, both inside, with a post industrial loft type retraces with bottles, carboys, documents and anything else Green glass history (iron color due to the presence of silicon). Movies screened showing the grueling job of the first oparai and women who based the flagons are almost touching. Go see it!!!

  • I attended the presentation of a book of a close friend last December. I am of the opinion that this is a great property to introduce one of the most important resources of the area, namely the glass. In my opinion the municipal administration or entities appointed to museum management should emphasize more the structure, which has a lot to offer in Empoli in terms of cultural memory.
