  • Where to start ... amazing villa, really well built and with a garden and a breathtaking view. Stop! Those who work there are rude people that don't give you information, treat you with conceit and call the POLICE if you point out that they are rude (you know, are public officials, apparently with the you point out if they are rude! O_O). Overgrown, not decadent, but we're almost there ... don't know how to organize individual and group visits of between ... AMAZING!!! The highlight was when we asked when we could get in we were told: "When I say, I'm in charge here!" ... see you! Makes me angry thinking about the huge potential that the two houses might have and how they are handled, say with your feet! AMAZING AND OUTRAGEOUS!

  • In addition to his small modest summer residence (Villa San Martino) on the island of Elba, Napoleon lived also the so-called official residence in the small Palazzo dei Mulini. The neat House now has been declared to the National Museum and offers a nice overview as Napoleon and his entourage at the time have lived and lived. The former Villa was rebuilt according to Napoleon's wishes and expanded with an additional floor for a large Festival Hall. The rooms are equipped with time typical furniture and one can therefore imagine how Napoleon spent his short time on Elba. The garden surrounding the Villa would again need some care, but from the garden wall, there is a beautiful view to the sea.

  • I believe that every tourist should visit both the Napoleonic residences; Unfortunately the visit will be ' a little visit satisfying as justly claim members of Tripadvisor ... (and it's better to know before) ... the reasons were listed by each visitor. It is a beautiful historically important building through which the island could benefit from the advantages "cheap" all year but we we were in England we would already have the media guides and you should you wish to enter. Noteworthy is the mantle of Pauline ... the building itself is quite empty (due to the events that followed). The garden instead seems uncared for. Too bad really because Napoleon is interesting from a historical point of view. He was one of the greatest motivators of history!
