  • Fantastic flight history, beginning with the balloons located in the splendid rooms of the Castle, until the present day, to conquer the universe. Media notes, enrich this path to be seen. I recommend it in good weather, because it has a beautiful garden maze, that I couldn't see due to the weather. The castle of Pelagius, is, once again, a positive note for the Veneto region.

  • In our trips could not miss a visit to the castle of San Pelagio where D'annunzio takeoff for his famous RAID on Vienna with seven other Italian heroes. Is there any history on the flight, also at certain times there are also activities for children-

  • I had visited San Pelagio Castle and its Museum of air a dozen years ago, and the impression was positive: I remember it being as a place resigned and dusty, with some old planes hanging and many many cobwebs. We are back today with my husband and my four year old daughter, having read in the local newspaper that the Museum would be open. I was really amazed by the big redevelopment job: it seems anything but place! Obviously January is not the best month to enjoy the garden (which must be beautiful in spring and summer), but he did give the impression of being much more cared for than in the past. We took a guided tour lasting about an hour, where a guide prepared and sympathic there has well illustrated the main elements of the air museum, which is focused on the history of flight from the origin (the Greek myth about Icarus), to draft Leonardo, the first hot air balloons, to the Wright brothers and military aviation during World War I. Il Castello di San Pelagio hosted Gabriele D'annunzio for about a year during the conflict, and right from the airfield of Saint Pelagius is match the Mission of flight over Vienna in 1918. A trip pleasant and interesting not only for adults but also for children, that besides the Museum certainly appreciate the beautiful labyrinth present in the garden.
