  • I arrived in Deruta almost by accident as it had not been planned but I was ahead of schedule. Turning to the village, I read a plaque indicating the ancient furnace, what intrigued me and lane after lane I reached the furnace. The owner pointed out the history of a furnace and how it's been rediscovered, also made us admire many items made long ago by his predecessors.
