  • See for history buffs of the Italian risorgimento. Monumental Obelisk which rises skyward, dominating points of one of the most important and significant battles of the risorgimento. Monument held externally and internally with extreme care as should be kept all Italian monuments. Internally the ossuary contains well aligned hundreds of skulls of dead soldiers doing understand how devastating the military technology of the time. To see and review!!

  • Very well kept as a monument. I was very impressed by the crypt where you can find the remains of thousands of skulls and bones of the soldiers of 2 factions war dead. It is one thing to see it on the site, it is one thing to see them live. Chills

  • This is a universal message of peace. I think it's the only place in the world where they remember losers and winners. This is all due to a tenacious pastor of Custoza the second half of the 19th century who would gather at this shrine the remains of the fallen of the wars of independence scattered in the countryside of Custoza. Died there no fewer than 7000 7000 Italians and Austrians (all young people between the ages of 20 and 25 years).

  • Historical monument and Museum (albeit tiny) to visit, bearing in mind that our present takes a lot from our past. Architecturally impressive, sights, accompanies through the Museum and the skulls of fallen soldiers through one of the most turbulent to Custoza and its campaigns
