  • Congratulations to the creators of this unusual itinerary. You climb under the dome painted by two greats of 1600 (around): Morazzone (Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli) and Guercino (Giovanni Francesco Barbieri) via a path built on an ad hoc basis, and also using the secret passages pre-existing. It is not a location for chubby nor little agile. Prepared guides accompany and tell. Breathtaking frescoes and the Cathedral from the attic. We recommend to follow or precede, visit great works by Guercino in Palazzo Farnese.

  • Really fascinating to walk the floor stairs separating you 502 to the top! Clock on the façade appears to be the largest in the world! Inside is also explained its operation. The view from high fog permitting is fabulous!

  • The Cathedral of Piacenza is definitely a nice monument to visit but in recent months, with frescoes by Guercino in the newly restored Dome, certainly deserves a trip. Beautiful the visit accompanied by an experienced guide, with excellent audiovisual equipment that really enchant. Not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia (some passages are really cramped) and who have limited mobility (stairs steep uphill and downhill) but without any danger. Attention, I recommend going as soon as possible in the morning visits are made at 20 ticket because people at once, you will find the tail and you should try a "hole" free within hours otherwise you won't be able to enter. Alternative: reservation on the internet!
