  • Light a candle, sit and relax in quiet contemplation and say a prayer. Let peace wash over you as you marvel at stained glass windows.
  • Unfortunately the beauty of piazza del Duomo (or municipality) of Cremona is not quite known. The dominating the Cathedral, magnificent from the outside in full sun or in clear nights. The Interior is worth a visit fraught with afternoon light or when, during holidays, full lighting allows you to appreciate every detail

  • After parking near the Center (via Santa Maria in Betlem there is parking available 5 minutes from Piazza del Comune) we headed towards the square. The Torrazzo us company since the beginning of this mini walk. Arrived in the town square for our attention was caught it from the Torrazzo but also from the market which enriched with more atmosphere (we went on a Saturday morning). Arrived in front of the façade of the Cathedral one can not stop to admire it. This church dates from the 12th century, rebuilt after an earthquake, and is a mix of Romanesque, Renaissance and Baroque. But the real beauty of the Cathedral is the Interior: it is rich in frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries (gorgeous crucifixion of Pordenone on the counter-façade) that will give you a stiff neck. There are numerous small altars "in Baroque style and all-seeing. There is also a crypt where the remains of Sant'Omobono, patron saint of the city. Attention that the Cathedral is open from 10 am to 12 every morning except Sunday (only 12-12:30 if I'm not mistaken) in the afternoon from 15:30 at 17 in week, from 15:00 at 17 on Saturday.
