  • Museum very well looked after, not over the top like spaces but rich in Roman remains interesting, beautiful and well preserved mosaics. The explanations at each step are quite comprehensive. Close to the city centre, entrance 3 euros ... all in all worth joining and inspect it.

  • Thanks to some colleagues we discovered this little gem, opened in 2009 and enriched in 2016 with new materials from the excavation of piazza Marconi. The Museum is inside the former Church of San Lorenzo and don't get discouraged if it looks closed from the outside: the door is to the right of the facade and the Museum is open every morning and at weekends until 17, except on Mondays. Among the works preserved mark the male bust in terracotta from the pediment of the Temple of the 2nd century. BC, a great composite capitals with volutes in the shape of a lion, the reconstruction of a nymphaeum and the splendid mosaics of the domus piazza Marconi. Very interesting are also the objects of everyday life (playing cards, ceramics, key rings bezel setting!), displayed in glass cases accompanied by quotations from classical authors. Completes the visit the archaeological excavation Museum at the apse of the Church. Definitely a nice renovation in the town's Museum landscape.

  • Hapy in the Romanesque Basilica of San Lorenzo, the Museum contains many artifacts from the Roman era. Among the many artifacts, are particularly interesting mosaic floors, a fragment of terracotta sculpture of the 2nd century BC and sepulchral slab of Arruntii. In the apse you can see the foundations of the previous building of the 10th century. The original decoration of the Basilicia survived the Roman capitals, a 13th-century fresco and much of the 15th century the chapel decoration Meli.
