  • Unique and fascinating place, where lie thousands of German soldiers fallen from 1939 to 1945, a place that makes you think about the horrors of war. It runs between the graves of unknown soldiers recognized and reading dates, names and rethink these soldiers to their families, a poignant place quiet and painful. A very nice note are the flowers and decorations that leave the grandkids on the graves of grandparents, that despite years of their death. A must visit, recalling the memory of these soldiers.

  • A in the location and a very impressive place that leads one of the futility of war in mind. Here rest almost 22,000 German soldiers of World War 2

  • Place of silence and reflection. Place where thousands of soldiers rest in peace, that's what leaves a war; sadness and anger and pain many why why why ....

  • Presence in the cemetery of 43 SS officers and non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the same line between approximately five hundred, some of whom were responsible for severe crimes against humanity. Among them the notorious Christian Wirth who assisted at the eugenic program Aktion T4, responsible for the extermination of tens of thousands of physically and mentally disabled. Wirth was nicknamed by the SS as a Christian barbarian, such were its brutality. "The stench ... oh God, the smell. It was everywhere. Wirth was not in his Office. I remember that I was taken from him. He was standing on a mound near the fosse ... She ... full ... were full. I can't tell you; not hundreds, but thousands and thousands of bodies ... oh God. I asked if I could go to him and they said that he was furious. "It's not safe to go near him." I asked what was the problem. The man with whom I spoke said that one of the pits was even flooded. We had too many bodies, and rot had occurred too rapidly, so that the liquid from under had driven the bodies up and over, and the bodies were rolled down the Hill. I saw some-oh God, it was terrible ... » "(Franz Stangl, Commandant of Sobibór extermination camp, April 1942)

  • Who once has the possibility the holiday on Lake Garda, to visit this place of remembrance, should do so out of respect for our ancestors, much less pleasant times live and fight for a cowardly thing and die needed to.
