We visited the caves attracted rave reviews and expectations have not been disappointed. The positive aspect of our experience is that this visit has agreed to be our teenagers that the smallest combining the beauty of the landscape almost 360° of the first forty minutes (basically a simple hike in the mountains) to the most adventurous of the descent into the belly of the mountain. The caves, as they explained very well prepared tour guides, are maintained in their natural state to prevent it from being altered the balance therefore visited are by very few people. The halls are impressive and, at least as far as the "discovery", easily accessible (only "fix" the ladder of access) Although you should wear at least some shoes with carved rings and a sweatshirt with a kway (gets really cold inside!). The website explains everything well. We plan on coming back to tackle the route "crossing".

We did the "Discovery" along with Mirco, talented guide who escorted us to outdoor hiking overview and the wonderful underground world. It really is worth it! In particular I want to thank him for his patience and confidence that gave me in descending the steps of the entrance. Passed the first impact I was very happy to have experienced this amazing experience! I highly recommend it.

We took the route "crossing" accompanied by Anna (very good guide that knew how to handle the inconvenience of the lack of light inside the caves due to a thunderstorm occurred the previous evening and that made it even more "special" our visit) that pointed out the beauty of this park which is unbelievably still unknown. It doesn't make much sense to compare the caves of monte cucco to nearby (and beautiful) Frasassi...si caves are two completely different experiences ... more "adventurous" and less touristy experience the caves of Mount cucco. We believe it was an absolutely magnificent and that we will repeat as particularly pleasing and informative for children (doable from 8 years and above). The panorama seen from the top of monte cucco is absolutely amazing! Beautiful monte cucco, see you soon!
