  • The historic centre of Cosenza is very nice; There are places where time seems to stand still and beautiful places artistically as few. I suggest again to do a walk that is in the evening or morning, so worth it.

  • For those coming in Cosenza and love art and culture generally, you can visit the old town, because it's definitely one of the most interesting in the South. I am proud to be born and raised in this beautiful city of Calabria and I consider myself lucky to have known and loved all along and have seen the improvements made in recent years in the historic center, was still intact in its singular charm. One part is best visited on foot, by parking the car near ' Piazza Tommaso Campanella ', heading ' Waldenses ' Square and crossing the ' Martyr ' Mario bridge, from where you can admire the confluence of two rivers, the Crati and Busento, where in the latter, according to legend, was the King of the Visigoths, Alaric, buried with his unfindable treasure. From ' Piazza Waldensians ' take Corso Telesio, the most important and evocative of the old town, where you can admire the ancient craft shops. Along the way we meet ' the House of cultures ', (operated by the city, which hosts exhibitions, conferences and cultural activities), the ' Duomo ', the piazza and the Archbishop's Palace. Then you get to ' March ' XV Square with the statue of Bernardino Telesio, (the famous philosopher of the Renaissance which Cosenza gave birth), right on beautiful ' Teatro Alfonso Rendano, left the ' Government House ', with its frescoed halls and, opposite, the entrance of the ' Old ' Villa, wonderful park where it's nice to take a walk , especially in summer. In the area is to visit the Diocesan Museum. Corso Telesio, for a lunch break there is a good restaurant and, for a break, the historic ' coffee Renzelli. To visit: the ' Palazzo Arnone (rich in works of art), the Plebiscite, the district ' mass ', where you will find the Museum of Brettii and enotrian population ' and ' the Swabian Castle, which stands on the Hill Pancrazio (one of the seven hills on which rises Cosenza). In the historic centre there are also old churches, it would be great to visit.

  • To the eyes of the curious bystander cannot escape the beauty of the place. Sure there would be many things to take into a better State, but the social fabric of the historical centre intact appears to remind us of our origins.
