  • Beautiful Cathedral in the charming old town. Nice the Interior is simple but unique at the same time. To see the picture of Santo patrono, madonna who saved cosenza by plague.

  • This church was opened around 1225 (can not remember the exact date) by Frederick II of Swabia and desired by himself, it's worth a visit, still keeps intact the original architectural structure, except the ceiling that has been completely redone after the earthquakes and fires which have struck a very interesting sarcophagus, a marble group of the ' 500 and remains (a few sadly) of medieval frescoes.

  • Imposing Cathedral. Façade with three rose Windows. You access the main entrance with a stairway with twelve steps representing the Apostles. The Interior, with three naves, a Latin cross, is simple. The beautiful chapel dedicated to Santo patrono (pillar or del Pilar), patron of the city of Cosenza, that hosts a wonderful icon. It is said that in 1576, while loomed the plague in different regions of Italy, a devotee in prayer before the icon of Santo patrono noticed a stain like a blight on the face of the image. The phenomenon was noted by the people and the authorities Unearthed and the stain was regarded as a prodigy and as a sign of protection of our Lady of the city of Cosenza, saved from the plague.
