  • Certainly the most beautiful monument of Cortona, in a picturesque location between the olive trees. It's an absolute masterpiece of the Renaissance, inside without additions. Unfortunately it requires maintenance and enhancement that the State does. We were fortunate to have Don Ottorino explanations, the pastor, real thrilled monument conservator who does the impossible to keep it open, in spite of the thefts and break-ins, who explained also the symbolic meanings of the monument.

  • the visit was part of the tour of Cortona I just don't get though the work of one of the greatest architects of the time still worth the time spent.

  • Excellent with well preserved Renaissance building style uncorrupted by affectation or religious Modernisms. Isolated from the town is a precious work of art. Despite this it is not clear how the exterior is in some places in the State of decay and neglect, almost certainly of little interest as to who should bear in this artistic heritage

  • A decent architecture, a little church in decadence, to visit only if you pass in the area, some interesting detail, generally lackluster.

  • Fabulous. Worth visiting. The pastor is a bit stroppy but cannot visit cortona without stop by

  • First seen in 1990. beautiful with its Windows by Francesco di Giorgio, magnificent interior with its Renaissance moldings on the walls remains

  • The Church of santa Maria del Calcinaio is a concrete place but also metaphysical, living space where, for me, the architect managed to create an internal outside space, almost urban. Moving experience.
