  • After the visit of the basilica of Santa Margherita, continuing along a dirt road, we reach the fortress of Girifalco Cortona dominates the entire Valley from high ground. The path of the visit envisages the inside, quite bare, and the exterior with, including, the walkway of mure on call; spectacular. Visit interesting.

  • While we were in Cortona there was a photography exhibit at the Fortezza di Girifalco. We bought tickets and explored every nook and cranny of the castle that we could get to. We were able to walk abo...  more »

  • Nice view from the top! The exhibition is a bit expensive but you have to pay for it if you want to go into the fortress
  • One of the best views in Tuscany
  • The fortress is beautiful and, despite signs of the cartel, you might find it also open between October and December, weather permitting!
