  • Hiked with a local friend in the early morning up to Lago di Sorapiss. The colour of the water is a 'tiffany' blue that has to be seen to be believed. I swam in the shallow lake - it was cold but not ...  more »
  • Arduous path for people like me who are not accustomed to that kind of walking though there is nothing more beautiful than to immerse yourself in nature and make all that effort to get then in front of the charming Lake worth it. A must see. and then how do you say??? "Those higher salt, farther; who sees farther, longer dreams. " Walter Bonatti

  • Were at the end of May. It turned out exactly like the photo. Water is incredibly blue. Snow in the mountains immediately at a temperature in the region of +25. We even got to the snow and snowman was balled up. Delicious water from a stream formed from melting ice. Not so easy when uphill climb starts. One way road for about 5 km. of these, 2-2 5, need to go uphill. And the weather can change dramatically with the bright sun and heat in a downpour. In General, place a Must see and is best in May. People virtually no heat, everything is green, but snow still lies.

  • Wonderful hike! Just follow 215 routes. It took us a little over 5 hours. There were some parts that were tricky and narrow, but not enough to require any equipment. We went mid October and there was hardly any water, so that was the only downside since we came to see the clear blue lake. Still a gorgeous hike!!
  • The 9 km trek was super cool and hard, I've made it in 1 h 45 mins active walking. Million thanks to ppl who had added GPS coordinates of where it starts (in comments below). The lake itself is dry in autumn, that I didn't know) but my day was still beautiful and unforgettable.
  • Incredible hike to a place that is so beautiful, it's unreal. The 215 did not require special equipment or shoes. Though it's a good idea to be cautious on narrow parts of the trail. Some rocky parts were a little slippery. But we encountered people of all ages on the trail. About 2 hrs to the lake, and 2 hrs back. Fairly popular.
  • Great scenery after almost 2h of a hike. Get some descent hiking boots and you should be fine (there are too many people wearing casual footwear on a rocky route like that). However the route is quite narrow and can get crowded during the day, so start before 8am.
  • A gorgeous mountain lake. The water is super cold even on a hot summer day in August.
