  • The Church is located on a small square surrounded by arcades, which betray their origins. Lovely brick façade and Romanesque brick building, typical of Piedmont and rather bare Interior, but with outstanding acoustics. Under the high altar you can see the ancient crypt with the urn of San Secondo and the beautiful stone walkway. A real must!

  • There are stones carved nearly a thousand years ago by fanciful and naïve peasant unknown hands, preserved jealously in places far from the traditional tourist destinations and this makes them even more impressive. This Romanesque church stands on a hill in front of the settlement of Cortazzone. The keys to the entrance located off to the side, if the Church is closed, can be obtained in three places in a sign placed on the lawn in front of the façade. The Interior is worth a visit to admire the capitals carved with religious symbols and not (often curious). strikingly beautiful, well maintained with wooden benches and stone in the lawn outside for a quick stop.

  • We stayed in Maretto and made from there, a walk. Our host of B&B Art Peace and Food, advised us to visit this church: If you want to walk an end then go there and have a look. We found a nice old well maintained small church on top of a hill at Cortazzone. Outside, a large green lawn. Inside, beautiful frescoes and pillars decorated with all kinds of animals including eagles and snakes. Definitely worth to visit

  • on a hilltop about a kilometer from the village, the Church tisale to the Romanesque period and is discreetly preserved.
