  • The Church, the Abbey of San Claudio al Chienti dates back to the early 11th century and is an interesting example of fusion between the Central-Plan Church of Byzantine derivation. The upper church you access both from outside and practiced in spiral towers for two ladders; the shell is in part a cruise and partly trusses. below it is preceded by an open body by a large portal, which gives access to the lower church, above which lies the terrace: this comes before the upper Church, from the beautiful Romanesque portal.

  • The Abbey of San Claudio al Chienti is a jewel in the Romanesque style dating back to the 11th century. The Church is divided into two levels, the first slightly below the roadway. The Church is in white stone, inside is very solemn but simple with some frescoes. Ideal for a day out and for a moment of prayer and recollection.
