  • Guests of the Agriturismo Il Bergamotto, we extended the dessert with the visit to the Castle. Already the path that climbs ripisisdimo overhanging the river dell Amendolea worth of excursion, with a breathtaking view. At the top, take the ruins, unfortunately abandoned village, reliving the atmosphere of a settlement of a few centuries ago, it gives emotions that maybe you are unprepared, because the castle is not known, and definitely underestimated ... the pictures don't do the idea is the impact that this spur overhanging the river and opposite Mount Etna, has on visitors! ... hike but highly recommended for anyone in the area!

  • A lovely place in my opinion, that is not found elsewhere, if you close your eyes for a moment and think about it brings you into the past ... imagine

  • Beautiful place, breathtaking, pity the State of abandon in facing the Castle.

  • Beautiful place. You get to the end of a tiny cement road that climbs up from the bed of the River to the top of the Hill. Pitch to park at the entrance. Is accessed via a path offset (absolutely no to strollers and small children if not in arm) that require closed shoes. After a few meters the path forks: right you take a steep stairway in good condition but often without railing that leads straight to the Castle; on the left, you follow a path that passes below the Castle and arrives directly to the small village up to the Belvedere. The two paths come together so it is better to left at least because the staircase will be downhill. The ruins are beautiful and leave much room for imagination while taking a dip in the early middle ages. If you put attention you notice the ramparts built between and on the ridges of rock and a fireplace in the top of the tower. Magnificent picture. Absolutly outside the tourist flow, but to see if in these areas. Recommend long pants and closed shoes.
