Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
Built in 1797 as a summer retreat for the aristocracy, and named for an elm that once stood at the heart of the gardens, Villa Olmo is now property of the municipality of Como. Neoclassical in style, the villa is only open during exhibitions, though the lakeside gardens are open to the public at all times. Enjoy a drink at the open-air bar in the garden, or relax on the lawns. Check online to see the schedule of events and exhibits. Only about 2 km (1.3 mi) from the heart of Como, it is an easy walk along the lake to get to the villa. • It is a beautiful place to walk, on the shores of Lake di as and with a direct view to Brunate funicular. A suntouosa and historical building built in 1797 as a summer house and that clearly represents the aristocratic style. It has parking and free wifi. You can not access the inside but worth touring the gardens with fountains and a dip in the Lake

  • The villa is really beautiful and interesting, especially the large lakeside garden. The morning is nice to walk in the garden, which connects to the walk along the Lake. It is often a place for art exhibitions, also hosts big names (like Magritte). Don't do full marks because some rooms would have to be retouched
