  • These are the remains of some quarters of the baths complex dating back to the 1st century AD and that a restoration of recent years have been made visible (only during certain times of the year) and partly usable. In fact are placed (and partially hidden ...) from the car park Via Dante ... that deadens, in my opinion, the site. Go to other cities and around beautiful beauty of Lake Como ... on the site of the baths there is much to say about the Italian ability to "debase", sometimes, the artistic, historical and archaeological heritage.

  • It's really depressing how debasing ancient monuments. Anywhere else in the world, or at least a portion of it, the only Roman vestiges of the city would be treated differently. In the city of Pliny in Old, (not of Asterix) spas have built a parking garage. Sheer madness.

  • Unfortunately closed in winter, because the entire area is not heated, but it is still visible (however briefly) from the access corridor to parking proceeds above the space archaeology. The remains appear to be of great interest, however they have not kept that the foundations of the premises, and no trace of decoration. To review more closely, passing in a time period where the place you could actually go "from inside".

  • That's where less I expect mark Rome, under a building in the Centre of extraordinary archaeological recovery. To see.
