  • Location is super and beautiful building. A bit droll drawing up scientific inventions. The generation of electricity, light and battery. Volta deserves better! The definitive guide is a meager paper in Italian or English to get you through the display cases and inventions. Make it more modern and rental race radio. This will be the value of the exposed instruments and their evolution in the light better. With pleasure I will then pay a bit more for a visit.

  • Temple dedicated to Alessandro Volta, inventor of the battery. It is a place of exhibition of the achievements of the great inventor was Alessandro Volta who gave his name to the voltage (on two levels). Worth a visit.

  • I would like to draw attention more than the temple we turn itself around the temple itself. Free beautiful garden behind the temple, meeting point for young people for a few hours of Sun beautiful summer afternoons (just a tarp and you can lie freely just around the Temple) and a must DO: the 3 steps in the Park located in front of the temple. Stairs constructed in a particular way each one from a different sensation while you travel. Feel like you go downhill despite they're going up the steps. At the end of a promenade I would say it is always fun to try if you pass by here

  • The monument itself is not the most interesting piece of arts or achitecture you can admire in Italy , but take a walk along the lake and you won't regret it
  • It's a beautiful building with an interesting exhibition. Well worth a visit.
  • Just one of those neat things to see when you're in Como. I mean obviously you're attracted to the lake but it's a nice side thing to see.
  • Detailed explanatioms of the development of the modern battery. It's dedicated to Volta. A curious round architecture makes it sort of cosy, as you enjoy the history of experimental physics
  • small museum, bed stuff...on list for free entrance are journalists and tour guides but then they say that is only for Italian instead...why somebody then just put ITALIAN journalists and ITALIAN tour guides...it is 2e entrance but it's not about the money it is about principle.

Where to stay in Como

Indulge yourself by booking a luxurious suite at a lavish hotel right on the shores of Lake Como. Pricey hotels and private villas may provide an ideal lakeside setting, but you can save money by staying at a B&B in the city of Como itself. The city is much less expensive than the resorts of the so-called "middle lake," but be sure to book early. Even less expensive is staying in Milan, from which you easily access the lake district by train or car.
