  • beautiful monumental structure built to remember the fallen of the first world war, many of whom were also citizens of Como or County, in front of the stadium Sinigallia and the Lake. From his stairways offers a very impressive glimpse of the Lake and surrounding gardens

  • War Memorial was built in 1933, height 30 m, the light was beautiful. It would be built was the purpose of first World War Veterans Memorial. It is in the idea of building in Arch on the walls of the broletto in 1923, as originally planned, monument adjacent to the Duomo and originally was supposed be a hydro power station is here. It is under the supervision of the architect's como terrane. I wish peace before the monument, this process does not change.

  • It is hard not to notice the Memorial: 30 metres high and is located near the Lake. The artistic value of the monument in doubt: rather impressive Boulder-giant, but important memory. 2 on it inscriptions: "sleep tonight in Trieste or in paradise with Heroes", "with Karst stones City celebrates the victory of their children." The Memorial was inaugurated in the year 1933 and dedicated to all fallen, but especially the Futurist Antonio Sant"Jelia, a native of Como and died during the first world war near Trieste (Trieste, therefore, mentioned on the monument).

  • IMPOSING MONUMENT AND ARCHITECTURE. THE GREY CONCRETE IS IN HIGH CONTRAST WITH THE BEAUTY OF THE LAKE AND THE COLORS OF COMO. THIS MONUMENT WOULD HIGHLIGHT MORE IN A DIFFERENT CITY (I IGNORE IF THERE IS A SPECIFIC PURPOSE FOR IT TO BE IN COMO).
  • Incredible and spectacular monument to remember the war dead
  • Monumento razionalista che va giudicato razionalmente
  • A must-see in Como for architects. Designed by Giuseppe Terragni based on Antonio Sant'Elia's sketch.
  • nice memorial
