It's a monumental Palace with valuable and interesting interior furnishings; gorgeous formal garden.

The Palace is stunning, in the middle of the main square of Colorno, with extensive Italian garden. Although devoid of furniture, the reggia deserves the guided tour explaining the history of various noble families who come through; very good our guide an American transplanted in Italy many years ago named Nora ... after visiting the gastronomic interlude is a must, on the territory of the spalla di San Secondo and Culatello

If you live nearby, it's well worth a visit. Personally, I think it is not suitable for preschoolers that would bore you and might disturb the rest of the group. Holidays groups can be quite numerous. The Palace can be visited only with a guide and a fee, but the price is affordable. I would say low compared to similar places. A guide is useful, because without the furniture there's the tale to give you an idea of the historical. The study of Ferdinand alone is worth the visit, although there are some stairs to reach it. As others have mentioned, the Interior is virtually empty, yet manages is trying to bring back something to see and there are already the first results: ceramics, paintings, a few pieces of furniture and musical instruments. The garden can be visited freely later in the day.

  • So beautiful
  • Marvellous Palace and gardens
  • While I understand the economic difficulties to maintain the Palace and gardens, and doing a round of applause for the great guides to visitors explaining well, incomprehensible large blue banners Alma and too many places within a courtyard like too much signage about the courtyard of a company. Overgrown gardens with fountains and half-empty, weeds between the hedges, even they are not treated, and what about the hurdles "road" with red and white panels placed right on the main Boulevard of the garden, with horrible white plastic chairs. Everything seems done on purpose to spoil the view from afar.

  • Guided tour of the Palace, masterfully kept by the friendly clear. Despite numerous looting have occurred over time (many items from Colorno can be found today at the Quirinale, the Savoy palaces in Florence or even abroad) the Palace retains all the charm of a representative residence of a Duchy which had in its history famous names of European nobility. With the precise explanations of the guide was easy to identify with characters that have taken place over time and radiance that had to reflect the rooms in their time. Not to be missed!

  • Guided tours only, and only two per day? A little bit I think ... a lot of work to do and Park uncared for. Too bad the monument itself is of great value
