Create an itinerary including Lillaz Waterfalls
Make your way up a trail through nature and scenic views to reach Lillaz Waterfalls. Walk from the village and follow the path around geological exhibits, through pine trees, and along a stream. Head strait to the top of the falls, or stop off at one of the many viewing points for different angles along the way. Prepare for slightly steeper steps near the end. Have a picnic at the top, and even drink from the cold, clear water. From the top you can go down the other side by crossing a bridge over the fall. Keep your eyes open for interesting wildlife on the way. Put Lillaz Waterfalls and other Cogne attractions into our Cogne day trip planning website, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Absolutely stunning views but need to be prepared with full on hiking gear for winter conditions. We were a little over optimistic and spent almost 5 hours trying to get along the ominously deep snow and then down to incredibly icy and slippery decent whereby we both feel quite hard on countless occasions. Overall took us 8 hours to complete with the finish line being in complete darkness with only our phone flashlights to guide us. Probably very naive but want to make sure others do not make the same mistake due to the very easy climb up which then turns into a completely different scenario.
  • We went on a hot summer day when it's 32 degrees Celsius ,it's was dry but waterfall worth climbing and best part was we were able to enjoy water stream during our way down . It's a great hiking place !The town is also very pretty with all pink flowers in every balcony.
  • It was a nice stroll around the Lillaz small town and the park, before getting to the waterfall. The waterfall hike had several paths. If you like hiking and taking an easier hike trail, this could be for you. If you're new, you could face some challenges (if you have vertigo, you can just enjoy the park without the hike). Unfortunately when we were there, the drought had effected the water levels, hence the low level of water. There are several restaurants in the town that you could dine in before or after your hike/walk. Parkings (free and paid) are available before entering the town.
  • Very nice and easy walk to see the waterfall. Place to rest and may enter the water in a warm day in the summer. I recommand going up to see the upper waterfalls
  • Very nice walk. We walked from Cogne. Very nice cascate. East walk. The main part of the hike from Cogne is mainly flat. From LIllaz it starts to climb to various point of view of the valley , the cascade , the mountains. Btw we walked all the way during unstopping rain. But it was still awesome.
