  • Beautiful Abbey, off the beaten track. We visited this abbey on our way from Venice to Rimini. It's an amazing stop. The tower of the abbey is impressive when you walk up to it. The frescoes inside are awesome and the floor is very beautiful. Try to find some time to visit this abbey.
  • Beautiful place and steeped in history. The ancient Abbey in the late Romanesque style, is full of symbols and allegories that will delight any fan of the genre. A little less, too many baskets for offerings around every corner of the building after the entrance ticket, give an idea of commodification which I am sure does not fall precisely in the spirit of the place. In any case, grounds and buildings are well kept and maintained by the excellent restoration of yesteryear and the view from the tower is beautiful.

  • And the Romea definitely must stop at Pomposa, is not an ancient Romanesque church, the Foundation of the 6th century, 9th-10th century Romanesque. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful colored bowls narthex added the bunches and the racemes between bricks and animals apotropoaici, inside opus sectile. Magnbifico the belfry and the Park, and we are in the land of Byzantium, and among the Lombards in Emilia
