  • Le terme Taurine not far from the town of Civitavecchia, are among the most attractive spas to see and attend as did the ancient Romans. Besides being an interesting archaeological site, you can see how were they built to keep the water inside the containment. I absolutely recommend a visit.

  • The archaeological site of Terme Taurine in Civitavecchia is situated on a hill surrounded by greenery just outside of town, about 5 km on the road to Tolfa. Surrounded by a charming park, is perfect for relaxing, unforgettable. The entrance is free of charge and you can visit them on your own without having to use a guide. They are divided into modern and ancient: the tanks are of 3 types: Caldarium (hot), tepidarium (warm) and frigidarium (cold). The name means the water temperature from warm to cold. In fact the ancient are inactive, while X modern (Ficoncella) you can take advantage of the benefits of the water. The ticket does not have excessive costs and are open every day.

  • We are regaled to visit this unknown site by cruise passengers and frankly he's missing a few things.

  • This well preserved archaeological roman site is located on the hills over Civitavecchia, not far from the Ficoncella thermal waters and was originally known as Aquae Taurae. It seems the structure was at some point absorbed in the colossal villa built by emperor Trajanus . Nowadays, the site is open to the public, also with guided tours, and it seldom hosts musical and cultural events, especially during summer
  • Built by the Emperor Trajan in 100 BC they are ruins of Roman baths where you can still see mosaic floors, pool, meeting rooms, warm etc.

  • Ruins of Roman baths, very nice to look at. Certainly one of the most interesting archaeological areas of Civitavecchia.
