Wander through gardens steeped in history at Giardino di Ninfa, where you can see the remains of Ninfa, a city thought to be founded in the first century of the Roman republic. The town was inhabited until the 16th century and today is the site for a 105 hectare (259.4 acre) English-style garden. Amble past streams, ponds, flowers, and trees to see what remains of the city. Bird-lovers may notice that the garden is home to 152 species of bird. Ask about guided tours offered in various languages. Giardino di Ninfa Reviews
Both historical and beautiful, this botanical garden and medieval ruins site is a stunning place. We were on a group tour and took a wonderful one hour walk conducted in English. Great explanations of... more »
Una visita molto bella. Peccato per il periodo dell'anno (Agosto): sono convinta che durante la primavera, con lo sbocciare dei fiori, l'atmosfera diventi ancora più affascinante. Riccardo, la guida, ... more »A very nice visit. Shame about the time of year (August): I am convinced that during the spring, with the blossoming of the flowers, the atmosphere becomes even more charming. Richard, the Guide, is a guy very knowledgable and helpful: congratulations! As for the garden that mean? Beautiful and well maintained. I did not visit the hortus conclusus for shortage of time unfortunately. I hope to return soon! Only down fall? THE PRICE.
bellissimo è dire poco, si passa dal tropicale al romantico che nemmeno te ne accorgi, un posto speciale e la guida spiega tutto nei dettagli, peccato solo che si riesca a comprendere poco ci vorrebbe... more »beautiful is an understatement, switching from romantic tropical that not even you realize, a special place and the guide explains everything in detail, just wish we can understand just it would take the audioguide to learn all the concepts, aside from the infernal heat of August 6 we had a great time even with the baby and stroller ... smooth path for wheelchairs.
It's a beautiful botanical garden built around the ruins of a medieval village. It's very beautiful, but the whole experience is ruined by the fact that they only let you go in with a group of ~50 people on a guided tour. You aren't allowed to wonder around, have a picnic or stay for more than an hour. You will get some nice pics, but the nearby village of Sermoneta is a much nicer experience overall.
One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Me and my girlfriend want to go back and visit it between May and June, when all the flowers are at their best!
An emotional landscape through the beauty of Nature, a truly heaven.
Bello il posto ma il giro troppo lungo al livello di tempistiche.
Fascinating gardens. We went on a guided tour in the rain and had a wonderful time. So beautiful. I can't remember enjoying visiting a garden more.
