  • Given its unique location and its exciting theme, this museum could be frankly better documented and laid out. Ride and walk on the Monte Rite is an adventure in itself, stop at the Rifugio Dolomites (Rifugio Monte Rite) a must (or even eat and sleep) but we have are frankly disappointed by this museum / expo. Could be better

  • A random collection of mountain images from Tyrol, coincidentally compiled and commented by Messner. This exhibition is chastised and deserves the term hardly Museum. Of course, the view from the Monte is Rite great, this one does not have but this mountain, we have can enjoy such magnificent views during our holiday in the South Tyrol on various mountains. The exhibition itself is unfortunately really not informative or educational. It should be dedicated to the theme of rock. You will notice this only at the reading of the prospectus.

  • I would assume that I'm not one who likes traipsing, but loves the mountains with its infinite spaces and landscapes. Around the Dolomites motorbike, while we decide the path we also look at what could be interesting in the area ... Messner Museum. There may be interested? Well why not? We arrive at the Cibiana pass where we find the shuttle that pretty much brings us up to the top of Monte Rite maybe a little expensive (€12) but it is something to do everyday so it goes. There are approximately 500 metres from the Museum and the effort is rewarded with the extraordinary landscape that surrounds us: we seem to be touching the tops with your hand. Only silence and a gentle breeze. The Museum enjoyed it, totally dedicated to the mountains in the area. If I could I would go back. Recommend it to everyone, especially those who love to walk

  • The Monte Rite is a really fantastic place, but here it is to vote just the Museum in the historic fortress. An interessing architecture worth to visit once. I liked especially the panoramic photos of the dolomites. But the Paintings of the scenery were interesting as well. The name "Dolomites" is program. Except for a selling table the museum represents no "Messner-cult". Well done! If anybody is not interestet in photos, paintings and the dolomites - he or she does not need to visit the museum.
  • It may be great on a clear day - else you need to be an afficionado to value the exhibition
  • Quiet place with breathtaking views. It's not a tourist heaven so this is one of those places you can actually enjoy without being hit with selfie sticks. The hike up is 7km long or,if you don't feel like it,you can take the shuttle that goes there every 30 minutes. There is a restaurant close to the museum as well,in case the hike made you thirsty and/or hungry.
  • Amazing 360° panorama. Re allows you to see and acknowledge the entire valle del boite. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view of Mount Pelmo, famous for suaforma with armchair and for this called "el caregon of the eternal father". The Museum is beautiful and full of everyday history. Attention to moisture under the hoods of glass, not breathing.

  • Is the second Museum Messner I see and I loved. Exudes the passion of those who set up for art as well as the mountain ... There are memorabilia and historical routes out of key characters in the history of mountaineering in addition to a number of ancient and contemporary works of painting and graphic art (some of priceless quality). I recommend it to those who love arts and mountain. The only detail that I find beautiful is the total not dissonant indoor glass-walled irregular towers usability, which remain a little high and you can't see the view from the inside.
