  • The Museum is located inside the sanctuary, long a 15th century Hall, next to the beautiful cloister of the convent. The Museum consists of seven halls that collect artworks, sacred objects and environments that show the ancient Franciscan convent life. Exposes religious objects of the Sanctuary: Chorals, enshrined in gilt copper; 500 paintings, sacred vessels, Murano glass and ceramics of ancient pharmacy. Of particular note are a beautiful wooden crucifix, a ceramic bust of Christ and compassion, a terracotta sculpture. A room is devoted to the old Pharmacy and pharmacy laboratory. The tour ends with the most characteristic of the Museum, the common focus, a place of recollection of the friars. Council to inspect it, very interesting. Summer hours: daily; Winter Sundays and holidays. Admission is free, free offer.

  • Very impressive location right in the heart of the convent, in the cloisters. Really well planned between sacred and profane, with the typical stuff of life of the sanctuary over the centuries. Beautiful vestments, the pharmacy of the Friars and l'erbolario, illuminated manuscripts, and even everyday objects in the daily life of a convent, with the reconstruction also places more important as the "common focus". To see and enjoy your time.

  • Beautiful, beautiful and a must visit, fond memories of the past, a place that was stage of life of the patron saint of our Italy. Saint Francis of Assisi.

  • This is a beautiful place!!!! It has such rich tradition with Saint Francis where he prayed and received the stigmata. It is here or near here that Saint Bonaventure wrote the Journey into God.
  • I personally liked the Sanctuary, even though its massive structure feels a little sovietic in parts. The visit to the small chapels and the frescoed alley is interesting, as is the view over the valley.
  • I hope one day I could visit La Verna

  • Quiet and nice view. I'll explain why in a Franciscan sanctuary dogs not permitted, not even on the square. But Francis was not pet friendly?
