  • Magnificent site! I will speak only of uneven paving stones, dangerous flaws for seniors! Dorm rooms are basic but functional, indoor parking reserved. Outdoor parking spaces for a fee! Very crowded on summer weekends

  • Exceptional place of silence, prayer, nature, art. Here Francis also received the stigmata. Also not to be underestimated that in hot summers the venue is regenerating not only for the spirit. From there you can take a nice walk not arduous way to mount Pen for everyone (no strollers). Unfortunately chine often happens to this place of worship during high season ... seem to be on Milan Metro!

  • The sanctuary is nice. You leave the middle of the parking lot and enter on foot. For those who want to there is a guided tour (morning and afternoon accepted). Lunch in the refectory of the Pilgrim (acceptable). For a Sunday drive is not bad.

  • Such an oasis! It's so beautiful and tranquil. As a location, it's a wonderful place to visit and see the views and the religious art and buildings. When you know the history and its association with St Francis, it becomes an even more spectacular place to visit.
  • This is a beautiful place!!!! It has such rich tradition with Saint Francis where he prayed and received the stigmata. It is here or near here that Saint Bonaventure wrote the Journey into God.
  • I personally liked the Sanctuary, even though its massive structure feels a little sovietic in parts. The visit to the small chapels and the frescoed alley is interesting, as is the view over the valley.
  • Beautiful scenery. Very impressive.
  • I hope one day I could visit La Verna
