  • I mean, visit it because it deserves. Whether you are a believer atheists, curious, go there and enjoy the magic of this beautiful place.

  • A unique place, gives off an energy and a spirituality that rarely now feel in places of worship. It is beautiful in itself, there are glimpses and details you fans realize that nature is great and how much we are old. Go and see her, and a special, pray where he prayed Saint Francis ...

  • We were in casentino and couldn't not visit this place. We recommend it for two reasons that complement each other. Gives off an atmosphere of faith and spirituality that I rarely found in other places, even Franciscans (perhaps comparable to the eremo delle carceri assisi) where it seems easy to also be truly Christian. We attended the mass, Maybe this feeling was easier by the fact that we visited during a time when there was hardly any people (we were going to be in 20-30 viewers). The second reason is the fact that it is beautiful in itself, even for those who are not attracted by spiritual motives. Don't go in the casentino area without stopping to verna; indeed go in casentino to go to La Verna, ending an aside; the restaurant is not bad. Prices very reasonable price, simple but well made and good reception

  • This is a beautiful place!!!! It has such rich tradition with Saint Francis where he prayed and received the stigmata. It is here or near here that Saint Bonaventure wrote the Journey into God.
  • I personally liked the Sanctuary, even though its massive structure feels a little sovietic in parts. The visit to the small chapels and the frescoed alley is interesting, as is the view over the valley.
  • I hope one day I could visit La Verna

  • Quiet and nice view. I'll explain why in a Franciscan sanctuary dogs not permitted, not even on the square. But Francis was not pet friendly?
