  • With a nice walk from the Abbey you come to the Hermitage where you kept the sword of a Knight hermit. The Church is circular, bare but well maintained. Nice view, near there is also a bar where you can rest and sunbathe. Anyway what pays these places is the atmosphere

  • Fascinating architecture of the Chapel, tiny and simple and quirky stories. Easy-to-access location and an incredible view! Recommend!

  • Visiting Montesiepi worth stepping Round too, since it preserves the holy sword in the rock.

  • Is a small circular chapel built around the sword in the stone. The sword is kept under a horrible display case plexiglas that some diminish. On the other hand you must protect it from certain tourists/vandals which have damaged. You can get there by a path starting at the Abbey or by an asphalt road. If you want to see only the sword should the latter solution, so you avoid paying the entrance fee.

  • Isolated spot a few meters from the Abbey of San galgano. Inside the sword in the stone. Very impressive.

  • The small circular building incurred at the place where Saint Galgano is said to have lived as a hermit after abandoning the life of Knight. Within the sword from him lodged in the rock as a symbol of his waiver. Very impressive

  • Can easily be reached on foot from the nearby Abbey of San Galgano. It is a small building well preserved. The Center, now locked in a plexiglass case, there's the sword of Saint galgano sunk into the rock. At the exit you will also find a shop sounvenir shops
