  • Small church isolated from the rest, which is very close to the Abbey to which it is linked by a footpath. The special feature is the presence of the sword in the stone, very impressive! In the churchyard there is a bookshop selling various things not exactly on topic, but it's cute

  • The Hermitage, very nice facility atop a small hill, is quite charming, especially because ' hosts ' a sword embedded in the rock (from San Galgano, narrates the story), which some say is the origin of the legend. So for that alone is worth a visit. To be added then that the area is beautiful and that in a few minutes pleasant walk you can reach the beautiful Abbey of San Galgano. So ... don't miss it!

  • Is a small circular chapel built around the sword in the stone. The sword is kept under a horrible display case plexiglas that some diminish. On the other hand you must protect it from certain tourists/vandals which have damaged. You can get there by a path starting at the Abbey or by an asphalt road. If you want to see only the sword should the latter solution, so you avoid paying the entrance fee.

  • The small circular building incurred at the place where Saint Galgano is said to have lived as a hermit after abandoning the life of Knight. Within the sword from him lodged in the rock as a symbol of his waiver. Very impressive
