  • One of the few churches with a circular plan, built on the hut of the Saint galgano & around the sword in the stone lodged by the Saint. Definitely worth visiting along with the great Abbey of Saint galgano connected by a walking trail, which takes about 5 minutes. Very interesting history related to the Saint. To visit.

  • Is a chapel located near the Abbey of San Galgano and was built around the 12th century on the hill where the same Galgano retired as a hermit. At the center of the Hermitage is the Boulder where the chiusdinese Knight Galgano Guidetti stuck his sword, as a farewell to arms and the Act of conversion to peace.

  • Saint Galgano or King Arthur? No matter who, what is important is to visit the quaint little Hermitage that preserves it. Can be reached on foot after a short, steep climb from the Abbey and worth a stop. Free admission.

  • Is a small circular chapel built around the sword in the stone. The sword is kept under a horrible display case plexiglas that some diminish. On the other hand you must protect it from certain tourists/vandals which have damaged. You can get there by a path starting at the Abbey or by an asphalt road. If you want to see only the sword should the latter solution, so you avoid paying the entrance fee.

  • The small circular building incurred at the place where Saint Galgano is said to have lived as a hermit after abandoning the life of Knight. Within the sword from him lodged in the rock as a symbol of his waiver. Very impressive

  • Can easily be reached on foot from the nearby Abbey of San Galgano. It is a small building well preserved. The Center, now locked in a plexiglass case, there's the sword of Saint galgano sunk into the rock. At the exit you will also find a shop sounvenir shops
