  • Sunday we went here in the afternoon to participate in a visit that we discover there and then apply: €9. In short ... a bit pricey ... But while we're at and being the only way to visit the residence, which is still partly inhabited by family Procaccini, we decide to take part. We are a large group in a hot day and the temperature in the rooms of the Castle does not help to pay attention to the words of the Guide, not especially prepared for the appearance and the explanations, sometimes rather incoherent. The few halls can be visited are not great, also the result of coarse restorations that, rather than preserve, they ruined the art. Moreover, the choice of the entire mercenary to open the Park to a golf club ruin what could be a great atmosphere.

  • Castle defense already built by the Lombards near the river Po, later transformed into the 700 in country by the patrician family Cusani who remained owners for nearly three centuries with all architectural motifs which are still visible. The monumental structure crowned by an imposing Tower (not open) and is preceded by two rectangular courtyards surrounded by contour homes, further demarcation is a now-empty moat which filled with water then gave the home a charm even more fabulous. The visit lasts about one hour and is conducted by qualified staff, beautiful frescoes tiepoliani of salt, cleaned recently impress with vivid color and 3D movement of allegorical figures represented. Remarkable also the floors and some ornamental stucco, beautiful even the landscapes seen from bright Windows, see the great wooden winepress recently restored located close to wineries, still operated by hand with winches, ropes and large screws needed for grape pressing. Do not miss also the large and cool outdoor garden, now partly used as a field for playing golf. If you want to spend a nice day without travel far from Milan, Pavia, Piacenza, Lodi, all accessible within 30-40 minutes, I highly recommend a cappatina in this place.

  • Truly imposing structure and well maintained from the outside. High-impact, very well taken care of as also related to garden. Unfortunately open only partly because it still occupied by the owners and, at the last visit yesterday, because marriage. Interior rather bare, but very interesting part of the kitchen. Recommended a jump if you are in the area.

  • Great location , well kept and with an incredible history. Alessandro (the owner) is very passionate about this property and he is always looking for ways to enhance the castle and to satisfy his customers with tailor made solutions.
  • One of the most beautiful visitable caste in this area! Inside a green park, with planned golf park, you can visit a lot of beautiful place, with a low fee. If you have a couple of hours to spend during a sundat morning I strongly suggest a visit here!
  • Beautiful castle!
  • Go through the town of chiguayante, after a curve, appears in its imposing Castle, surrounded by its Park and by a ring of low walls, interrupted by a large and elegant entrance gate of iron. The building constructed entirely of brick and has a bustling main façade, while the others are simple and strict. A high tower stands at the center of the building. The Interior can be visited only in part because private, houses various rooms frescoed by Tiepolo and style in 1700 in the lower floors the kitchen and the cellar. Really enjoyable guided tour, although a bit long waiting times, given the high number of visitors during the opening day of the historic houses. It should be noted that though the castle is always open to visitors in the afternoons of public holidays during the months of March through November (except August).

  • Often know each other distant cities without having any idea of the jewellery that we have around the corner. The castle is one of these: has over 1000 years of history and is only 40 minutes from Milan, his recovery is a wonderful initiative of the owner family who decided to open it (partially, also live there) to the public. We were assisted by a great guide (Stephen), a graduate in art history that there was able to convey the love for his field, the castle is in an excellent state of preservation, partially furnished (unfortunately most of the furniture was stolen a few years ago), it still has a room the wall paper of the late ' 700, the visit is contextualized with some good explanations visit a beautiful Tan for wine and coal cuisine (which still smells of smoke) with many vintage household effects visible. The castle is surrounded by a large garden, very quiet and relaxing, unfortunately it is not possible to visit the "House of you" which attracted me a lot. The castle is a structure with a lot of potential, the job is immense for one family, although aided by volunteer guides, I was told that many environments (currently not visitable) are under restoration, is definitely worth another visit!
