  • Just to see, and breathe in the history, a fascinating place site at 330 meters. A.s.l. in a beautiful city where you will see the story in every corner, there are many archaeological sites, I recommend it.

  • This is a museum that I know from the days when it was opened, about 2000, when iced with the school: being I of Chieti, I can only be a bit "biased", thus inevitably have led to give an extra dot in the judgement. Overall this is a reality that at the time had to be very technologically advanced, and still is very modern, because from 2008 (year of my last visit) to date, I don't see anything has changed, unlike the museo della Villa, whose productions were modernized. Very suitable is especially for children, thanks to reconstructions of the fronts of temples and interactive screens; in general the entire path is easy to read, and therefore well accessible to the less passionate. The only criticism I would have is on the little enhancement of the entire complex, mainly due to the disadvantage suffered by the city of Chieti, increasingly cut off from tourist circuits. This results in not only a low number of visitors, but also a growing deterioration of the external structure, full of papers, cigarettes, beer, etc., and that continues to be very dirty and very little presentable despite rounds of cleaning required by a group of citizens eager to help.

  • Don't be fooled by the abandoned air that reigns supreme overall of the Amphitheater, especially in this period: the Museum is open during the hours indicated, that is until the evening, even in winter. If you push the front door and go down the stairs you will find yourself in a Hall interesting and engaging, where you'll meet the friendly staff of the Museum (which truth be told it will probably happily amazed at the sight of a visitor) that will guide (only in Italian I fear) and will explain the operation of QR code throughout the tour. Each area of interest is distinct from a production in line with the exhibits, interesting and modern. Sound and lighting devices accurate ensure complete enjoyment of the visit. So worth it, even considering the price absolutely affordable! The only flaw is that the wonderful space of the Atrium, equipped with comfortable sofas and coffee tables in color, lying unused in complete darkness. Could be a great space of aggregation, serve as a meeting place or study hall-or both: why not a literary Café?-in a city where sadly in short supply is places to learn which ones to meet each other.
